We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we fix them where readers can see.
How to report an error
Email hello@theclearhearted.com with the article title and what you believe is incorrect. A source helps but isn’t required. We review every report.
How we handle corrections
Minor errors such as typos, broken links, and formatting are fixed without a note.
Factual errors are corrected in the text, with a dated correction note at the bottom of the article explaining what changed.
Significant errors that alter an article’s conclusion get a correction note at the top of the article, and the piece is re-reviewed in full.
Articles that no longer hold up are either rewritten or removed. If removed, we say why rather than deleting quietly.
We don’t silently edit articles to change their meaning after publication.
Timing
We aim to review reported errors within five business days and correct confirmed errors promptly.
